A Prayer for Happiness

A friend sent this to me in the mail, I don’t know where she got this from but it’s beautifully written.

Whenever I’m discouraged and lost in deep despair,

I bundle all my troubles up and go to God in prayer.

Then I beseech Him earnestly to hear my humble plea

and tell me how to serve Him and do it gallantly.

And so I pray this little prayer and hope that He will show me

How I can bring more happiness to all the folks who know me,

and give me hope and courage, enough for every day,

and faith to light the darkness when I stumble on my way,

and love and understanding, enough to make me kind,

so I may judge all people with my heart and not my mind.
