I’m getting paid to exercise! Can you believe it – pinch me – yep it’s real.
It’s part of an app I discovered on my iPhone – a free app at that! It’s called Nexercise and it’s super cool. It tracks your movement while you exercise – it’s a pedometer and a stop watch, plus you can compete against others, work out with others, and chat with others. Each time you work out you earn XP points, badges – which really don’t do anything but are fun to see you have earned them, and mPoints.
mPoints are the BOMB! (to use an old term) – it took me about a month and a half, but I earned enough mPoints to redeem them for a $10 gift card for Old Navy. SAA-WEEEEETT
You can also donate mPoints to charity. I’ve decided that each time I redeem for something I want, I’ll take all the points I earn the following week and donate to charities. This time I donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters, the American Red Cross, and the American Cancer Society.
So not only do I feel good that I’m exercising, I also feel good because I’m being rewarded, and I feel good because I’m giving to charity! WHA-CHA! That’s the noise of my super hero cape being attached to my shoulders.
That’s awesome!!! I’m going to have to check it out! Thanks for the tip!
You rock Molly!
