As I’ve mentioned before (and you can see by the ticker at the top of my blog) I’m working on loosing all the weight I gained from being prego with my daughter – I’m making great progress and feel great that I’m so close to my goal – less than 15 lbs to go. But with that comes me slacking a bit – ok a LOT. Sweets are so tempting and ‘cheating’ a little is happening a little too much some weeks. So a few weeks back my hubby surprised me with a special something - Root Beer Float gum. I was skeptical as typically things of this nature are a bad attempt to recreate something delish. Well Extra you have done well – it’s not 100% the same – how could it be it’s missing out on the textures and scents, but for what it is the flavor is quite good. It hits the sweet spot too.
I’m one of those people who enjoys 1/2 sicks of gum at a time – so the pack lasted me a while (may have been longer but my son has discovered how good it is). I ran out this past week and mentioned in passing to my man that if more was to appear I wouldn’t be saddened. Well he’s a good man – to my delight he brought home a pack last night, and included a second pack of a different flavor – Lemon Square – like those yummy lemon bars I often see at church potlucks. I know he was thinking of me cuz my hubs has a strong dislike of those lemon bars. The Root Beer Float is still my favorite of the two; however, the Lemon Square is good.
Thank you Extra gum for making a sugar free gum that tastes good and helps curb those cravings for yummy goodness and giving me another tool to keep the weight loss happening. Now I can enjoy a treat and it won’t go straight to my seat (lol I’m punny).
Sound sooo good maybe I’ll have to try that. I have that sweet tooth also. It must run in the family
I think it’s just that we have so many family recipes that are so yummy we can’t help but enjoy sweets
